Margaret T. Stopp has a civil practice focusing on real estate, real property, leases, contracts, public and low income housing, community associations, sunshine law, public records, and local government-related issues. In 2007 - 2009, she served as general counsel to the City of Pensacola Charter Review Commission as it worked through the process of significantly revising the City of Pensacola's Charter. She served as an assistant county attorney prior to joining the firm. She taught at the University of West Florida for ten years in the Legal Studies program, and is the author of numerous publications. Early in her career she had her own law practice, specializing in real estate and contracts, within a general practice. While attending the Georgetown University Law Center, she worked for the U.S. House of Representatives as a legislative aide and a House Appropriations Committee staff member. She is active in the community, serving on a number of boards.
